  • Hansel B. Leavengood, DVM

    Dr. Hansel Leavengood is a fifth-generation Floridian. He was born in Ocala, Florida and moved to Tampa in 1959. He is a 1985 graduate of the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Urena College of Veterinary Medicine in the Dominican Republic and did post-doctoral work at the Animal Medical Center in New York City before returning to Tampa.

  • Robert J. Moore, DVM

    Dr. Robert Moore began his veterinary career in 2007 at Dale Mabry Animal Hospital. After 8 years of school studying Biology at Florida State University and Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine he returned to his hometown to practice.   When Dr. Moore is not taking care of your beloved four legged fuzzy friends he enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashley, and two children, Jackson and Dylan and their pets: Bennett and Buckley (an inseparably Chihuahua mix duo), Kelly (the guinea pig) and Davis (the lone cat). In his leisure time he loves going to the zoo and the aquarium, reading, and sailing (if he could practice medicine on a sailboat he would).

  • Sarah A. Johnson, DVM

    Dr. Sarah Johnson joined Dale Mabry June 2020 after earning her veterinary degree at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. She studied Biology and played soccer in NC at Queen’s University of Charlotte. Dr. Johnson is most passionate about preventative medicine, and looks forward to establishing life-long relationships with her clients and their beloved pets. Originally from SC, her family resides there with 3 rescue dogs, Betsy (boxer), Lulu (boxer mix), and Ashe (lab mix). In her spare time, Dr. Johnson enjoys playing golf, running, going to the beach, and cuddling her cat, Jerry. 

  • Clemmie Aamodt, MBA
    Hospital Administrator

    Clemmie Aamodt joined Dale Mabry Animal Hospital in January 2011 as Hospital Administrator. Born and raised in the Netherlands (now you know where the accent is from), she landed on American soil in Chicago where she met her husband of 30+ years. She worked for the Dutch government and was co-owner of Midwest Law Printing. They sold the company in 2003 and moved to the Netherlands with their youngest son. There she worked in the healthcare field and was office manager for a growing global clinical research company. They returned to the USA in the summer of 2008 ending up in Tampa! Holly is the newest addition to the family -- adopted in March 2017.

  • Tania Lopez, MVZ
    Staff Manager/Lead Veterinary Technician

    Tania Lopez was born in Quito, Ecuador and moved to Tampa in 2017. She graduated of the University Central of Ecuador from the College of Veterinary and Zootechnics as a DVM and a graduate of the University of Cuenca, Ecuador from the  College of Veterinary and Zootechnics  with a Master's Degree in Canine and Feline Internal Medicine. Upon graduation, she practiced emergency and mixed animal medicine for 10 years before moving to Tampa and joining our hospital. On her free time, she enjoys working out with her husband, kayaking and playing with her two Shih Tzu's (Archie and Muttley).

  • Jessica T.

    Jessica has been a proud member of the Dale Mabry Animal Hospital family since 2006. She is a true animal lover with her dogs Lucky and Duchess which she adopted from our clinic. She also is a proud owner a fresh water aquarium. She enjoys spending her free time with her loving daughter Lizzette and her son Jayden. Jessica is a true New York native but has resided in Tampa, FL since 2005. She loves the Sunshine State and could not imagine living anywhere else.

    Veterinary Technician

    Jessie was raised in South Tampa. She attended a Vet Tech school in Orlando, Florida for a year. After completing her certification she has been a veterinarian technician since 2007. Jessie has grown with Dale Mabry Animal Hospital (DMAH) over the years. She is a true animal lover who rescued her furry children 'Marty' the cat and 'Gunny' the dog through DMAH.

    Veterinary Technician / Receptionist

    Billie is a native Floridian and has been with Dale Mabry Animal Hospital since November 2007. He is proud to work at Dale Mabry Animal Hospital and enjoys working with his colleagues. He has been in the veterinary field since 2005 and always had a love for animals and a passion to work with them. When not at work he enjoys spending quality time with William, his partner, son Zachary and his four dogs. He also likes to spend time with friends, listening to music, and watching movies.

    Veterinary Technician

    Terence was born and raised in Tampa. Since an early age he has had a love for animals and a desire to care for them. He has been with Dale Mabry Animal Hospital since 2004. When Terence is not busy taking care of your pets or his own pets (Lucy, a Boston Terrier and Merlin, his cat) he makes independent films and loves listening to music and going to shows.

    Veterinary Technician

    Reegan was born in New Mexico, raised and went to school in Venezuela, came back to Florida in 2018 and has been working as a Veterinary Technician since, started with the DMAH team in November of 2019, adopted 1 Tarantula named Aragog (Aphonopelma, Seemanni) and a cat named Dobby back in late 2018 and has had a growing collection ever since, Reegan's favorite activities are going fishing and playing video games and admiring his arachnid collection on a daily basis.

    Gage was born and raised in Tampa, FL.  Since a young kid, he has always had a passion for working with animals! Gage owns 3 dogs, 1 cat, and 1 horse. He owns a Labrador Retriever Mix named Ariat, a Pug named Iggy, a boxer named Luna, a Persian cat named Sugar Daddy, and a Thoroughbred horse named Degas. Outside of work, he loves spending time outside at the barn or going on a trail with his dogs!

    Beckie has been in the veterinary industry for over 12 years. She started as a kennel tech in New Orleans and fell in love with the veterinary field. She has been with her DMAH family since 2013. Beckie is now working on her Veterinary Practice Management Certification in hopes of furthering her career.  Her goal is to keep learning as much as she can while helping her team be happy and successful.

    Beckie stays busy at the softball and football fields with her two kids and never goes hungry living with an executive chef (A.K.A the husband) Her fur babies include Cora and Dragon (2 rescue kittens) who tolerate Isabella and Chipper Jones (Beckie is a HUGE Atlanta Braves fan). She loves anything outdoors. When they have time off you can usually find them camping or at the beach.

    Kennel Technician

    Joshua Cordero was born in Queens, New York. He graduated from the prestigious Townsend Harris High School and attended John Jay College of Criminal Justice, pursuing his bachelor in criminology. He always had a passion for animals and knew he wanted to pursue a career in veterinary science. He moved to Tampa, FL in 2020,  enjoying its beautiful weather and scenery. When he's not at work, he loves being outside kayaking and going to the beach. He loves spending time with his two rescued cats , Lucy Lou and Toby.

    Veterinary Technician

    HI, I was born in Bogota, Colombia!!! So many years ago…In June 15, 1990 I was awarded the degree of Doctor in Veterinary Medicine by La Salle University. This is the equivalent of the U.S degree of Veterinary Medicine earned at a regionally accredited institution of higher education in the United States. I moved to this blessed country in 1998. During these years I have been working with small animals (dogs and Cats). I also have more than 12 years’ experience in Non-Human Primates (m. mulatta and m fascicularis) like Biologist Scientist (Private institution and University of South Florida) I really enjoy working with my DMAH family since May 2020. Also, in my free time I like reading, studying, teaching in my local church (Iglesia Tampa Bay) and visiting thematic parks (I love roller coasters), listening to music on the beach and sometimes watching basketball and soccer games.

    Veterinary Technician

    Chloe is originally from Frackville, Pennsylvania. She moved to Florida three years ago to pursue her veterinary technician career. She graduated from YTI Career Institute in 2018 with her associates degree. Ever since a young age she knew she wanted to devote her life’s work to helping animals. Chloe rescued her two cats Blackie Chan, and Babie, along with her dog Tater. In her spare time she likes to travel and spend time at the beach.
