Celebrating 35 years with Dr. Leavengood and wishing him a happy and healthy retirement
After 35 wonderful years of dedicated service to our beloved South Tampa pets and their families, Dr. Leavengood is officially hanging up his stethoscope and embarking on a well-earned retirement!
Dr. Leavengood has cared for countless canine and feline friends with unmatched compassion and expertise. His kindness, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to animal health have left a lasting impact on our community, and we know his legacy will live on in the many lives he’s touched.
While we will certainly miss seeing him at the clinic, we are thrilled for this new chapter in his life—one filled with relaxation, adventure, and exciting new endeavors with his wife Kathy and family! True to his compassionate nature, he’s already keeping busy as a volunteer with Southeastern Guide Dogs, helping train future service animals. He’s also sharing his love of marine life as a volunteer “tour guide” at the aquarium, enjoying time outdoors quail hunting and birding, and embracing all the joys that retirement has to offer.
Please join us in wishing Dr. Leavengood all the happiness in the world as he steps into retirement.
From all of us at Dale Mabry Animal Hospital and beyond—thank you, Dr. Leavengood, for everything!
